The POWERMID™ transmitter receives infrared pulses from remote control units and re-transmits them as RF pulses at 433.92 Mhz. These transmissions are detected by the POWERMID™ receiver which converts them back into infrared signals and sends them to the audio and video equipment. No attempt is made to decode or convert infrared signals from their original format. This allows Powermid to work with almost any remote control unit and TV/video/Hi-Fi combination.
